Covenant Bonding and Anointing
Why do our connections with other people seem to stay superficial and never go beyond the surface-level? God’s idea of covenant is incredibly important for ministry success, indeed success in life in general. Covenant Success calls for agreement and a bonding unknown or unexperienced outside of Gods Kingdom. Covenant bonding is where Paul says ‘its good for brethren to dwell in unity for there the Lord commands the blessing even life forevermore’ (Psalm 133:1) In between the above two statements or verses we have this ‘It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments (Psalm 133:2) What is this covenant bonding like? It is like the anointing of Aaron.
Aaron served Moses.
‘Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the Altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, upon his garments, and upon his sons (Leviticus 8:12). And you are to tell the Israelites, ‘This will be My sacred anointing oil for the generations to come.…(Exodus 30:30).
The connections we make on earth with elder brethren releases a priestly anointing upon our lives to serve Gods people in the tabernacle
The Anointing we receive from senior brethren is a divine deposit upon our family for generations to come. It the above text we find this principle of anointed families, Aaron and his sons, anointed and appointed to the priesthood.
