#22 WHO ARE THE BELIVERS?
He that beliveth and is baptised
He that believeth on Christ shall never perish (John 3;17,18). He that believeth is passed from death to life (John 5;24). He that believeth on Christ shall never thirst (John 6;35). He that believeth hath everlasting life (John 6;47) He that believeth shall not abide in darkness (John 12;46).
The believers are those who believe everything Jesus said those believers become disciples. followers of the God man. that is they follow his teachings and walk in his footsteps. they imitate him by their actions. they are baptised in water because that’s what Jesus was, Jesus was baptised in water. They follow Jesus in the death, burial and resurrection, through the process of the new birth which is a death burial and resurrection. We too are dead with Christ, buried with Christ in our baptism and risen with Christ when we come out of the watery grave speaking in other tongues, hence we follow him in his death burial and resurrection (See Romans 6 and 1 Corinthians 15).
