#37 Spiritual Maturity
Scripture reading: (Hebrews 6:1).
So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. (Hebrews 6:1 NLT).

PROPOSITION: The call to maturity is clear, To start with the fundamentals and build on them, to start with Christ and see that he alone is our foundation stone. Growth in Christ leads to growth and ministry and never the other way around.
AIM: To Exhort the saints to go on unto perfection. where we live the exemplary life, the abundant life and experience a preparation for the eternality of life. LIFE IN ITS FULNESS OF MEASURE. 

1.The Mature believer bears fruit.
Luke 8:14-15 The seed that fell among thorns stands for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures, and they do not mature

2.The righteous will flourish in Life
The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green.(Psalm 91;12-14 NIV)

3. The mature enjoy solid teaching
In fact, though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you the elementary truths of God’s word all over again. You need milk, not solid food! 13 Anyone who lives on milk, being still an infant, is not acquainted with the teaching about righteousness. 14 But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.(Hebrews 12;12-14 NIV)

4 The mature grow in the Knowledge of God
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.( 1 Peter 3:18 NIV)

5.The mature do not easily chase after fake and false doctrines
So that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, (Ephesians 4:14-15).
