#38 JESUS in Moses Day
Scripture reading: (Hebrews 6:1).

PROPOSITION: The call to maturity is clear, To start with the fundamentals and build on them, to start with Christ and see that he alone is our foundation stone. Growth in Christ leads to growth and ministry and never the other way around.
AIM: To Exhort the saints to go on unto perfection. where we live the exemplary life, the abundant life and experience a preparation for the eternality of life. LIFE IN ITS FULNESS OF MEASURE. 

Christ announces himseLf at the Burning BUSH
He says , John viii . 58 , that He is the I AM , which , in the Hebrew , signifies THE ETERNAL , and is the very title by which He announced Himself to Moses at the Burning Bush , ( Exod . iii . 14 ) ,

He also announces Himself as the I AM , ( John xviii . 5 , 6to the soldiers and others who came to take Him prisoner in the garden ; and when to this is added ,

Christ the redeemer of his people form Egypt
On that night I will pass through the land of Egypt and strike down every firstborn male, both man and beast, and I will execute judgment against all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. 13The blood on the houses where you are staying will distinguish them; when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No plague will fall on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. (Exodus 12:12).

And God spake all these words, saying, 2I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage (Exodus 20:2)

Christ the baptiser
Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, ² all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, ³ all ate the same spiritual food, ⁴ and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. (1 Cor 10:1-4)

What then shall we say? Shall we continue in sin so that grace may increase? 2Certainly not! How can we who died to sin live in it any longer? 3Or aren’t you aware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may walk in newness of life. (Romans 6:1).

Christ the water that flows from the Rock
( likewise above referred to ) says in 1 Cor . x . 4 , that the Spiritual Drink and Rock that followed the Israelites in the Wilderness , was Christ .

Christ the Manna from heaven
You provided bread from heaven for them for their hunger, You brought forth water from a rock for them for their thirst, And You told them to enter in order to possess The land which You swore to give them (Nehemiah 9:15).

Then the Lord said to Moses, ¹² “I have heard the Israelites’ complaints. Now tell them, ‘In the evening you will have meat to eat, and in the morning you will have all the bread you want. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God.’” (Exodus 16:11)

Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven. Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst. (John 6:32,35)

Christ who knew Abraham
You do not know Him, but I know Him. If I said I did not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I keep His word. 56Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see My day. He saw it and was glad.” 57Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?” (John 8:55).

So let us stop going over the basic teachings about Christ again and again. Let us go on instead and become mature in our understanding. Surely we don’t need to start again with the fundamental importance of repenting from evil deeds and placing our faith in God. (Hebrews 6:1 NLT).
