#112 LIGHT: God Uncovered
While ye have the light, believe on the light, that ye may become sons of light. These things spake Jesus, and he departed and hid himself from them.’ ‘HE COULD NOT BE HID,” but He may hide Himself (John12:36).
Contrast this story with the Old Testament in which HE COULD NOT REVEAL HIMSELF.
How could LIGHT hide himself, where would darkness be so great that he who is light cannot be discovered?
For You have hidden Your face from us And have delivered us into the power of our iniquities. (Jeremiah 33:5). such is the sin of man that his darkness, hides him from the true light of all men. the light that cannot be hidden becomes hidden from those who reject him. ‘Gross darkness’
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. (ISAIAH 60:2).
O how blessed we are to be this side of the revealed deity. This side of the story, this side of the inheritance of the saints, this side of redemptions story. Is it not because of man’s unbelief that he himself is hidden! They have eyes but they see not’ He who is light cannot be hid, yet he is hidden from them that believe not. …’3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. Hidden not because he cannot be known but hidden because they do not want to belie ve. God hides himself! so that we may seek after him. (Acts 17: 27).
Those who sincerely seek after him find him, those who truly want to know him discover him, those who play games pretending they know him yet deny his deity can never understand him to them Jesus as ‘God’ is still a mystery a hidden mystery. why God has blinded their eyes.
Ask God for the revelation of himself in person today, refuse to live with an unknown God. the revelation of his character name and person is found in Jesus. believe it!
