In him dwells the fulness of the Godhead bodily
(Colossians 2:9)

The essence of God, undivided and in its whole fulness, dwells in Christ in His exalted state, so that He is the essential image of God, the adequate image of God and, the only image of God (Colossians 1:15).

If the Lord God of the Old Testament can appear to the Old Testament saints as a man then the same Lord God can appear to the new testament saints as a man, further the same Lord God appeared to the disciples on the road to Emmaeus as a man. He also appeared to Mary as a man after the resurrection, divine and biblical proof that the Only Lord God who we know as the Lord Jesus, is the one true Lord and God.

Veiled in flesh, ‘the eternal spirit in the form of man’ visited Abram, Jacob and Manoah and others who was also ‘the eternal spirit of Christ’ who filled heaven and earth, now both these abilities or manifestations dwell permanently in the man, Jesus Christ.

Creation declares it, The transfiguration proves it, the incarnation tells it. God appeared as a man. Without him being a man there would be no salvation, without God coming as a man there would be no redemption. Without coming as a man there would be no sacrifice for sin. Blood had to be shed for without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins. No man had spotless blood, blood without sin, but Jesus blood. Therefore as man he became the perfect sacrifice. What can take away my sin nothing but the blood of Jesus.

It is in Christ that the entire fulness of deity has settled bodily (Moffatt translation). Jesus is not in the Godhead, the Godhead is in him. Jesus is the Father, Son and Holy Ghost
