How much is Jesus ‘WORTH’ to You?

Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, the hometown of Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead. So they hosted a dinner for Jesus there. Martha served, and Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with Him. Then Mary took about a pint of expensive perfume, made of pure nard, and she anointed Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume But one of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, who was going to betray Him, asked, Why wasn’t this perfume sold for three hundred denarii and the money given to the poor?” Judas did not say this because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief. As keeper of the money bag, he used to take from what was put into it. Leave her alone,” Jesus replied. “She has kept this perfume in preparation for the day of My burial. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have Me.” (John 12:3).

Mary served, Judas observed!   Why does she worship you like that! Judas was not found at the feet of Jesus worshipping him, Mary was. she anointed his feet with precious oil. Judas was just an ‘observer’ he wasn’t a ‘worshipper’ and said why do you use such costly perfume on the Lord? Have you ever been to church and noticed how some worship GOD intensely while others just look on. Why don’t they worship full on why don’t they get down on their knees, why are they just looking at everyone else? The key is they have not encountered the Lord like you had.

Worthship determines Worship….. He’s worthy of it all!

You’re worshipping because he’s done so much for you. you worship according to the ‘worth’ of a thing.  So quit fretting about how others worship or don’t worship. You see Jesus as more valuable because he’s done a lot for you, hence nothing is too costly in your time with him, you’ll get on your knees while others sit and stare, you will shout ‘amen’ while others are silent and looking around. You will pour out expensive ointment while others struggle to worship at.

Judas was a ‘thief’ (v6) DONT get your attention on the thieves (those who steal what rightly belongs to God. Thieves don’t give God their praise thieves don’t give God their WORTH-SHIP. But You do! You’re the Martha with the ointment this morning giving God your all!

He’s worthy of it all!
